US Allies Appear To Be Abandoning Trump Over His Recent Actions Against Iran

Our allies know he's dangerous.

America’s allies are sounding the alarm after Donald Trump ordered the killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, and the “president” did so without authorization from Congress. Trump also failed to notify our allies so that they could work together. U.N. secretary-general Antonio Guterres said that “the world cannot afford another war in the Gulf, and added through his spokesman that he “is deeply concerned with the recent escalation” in the region. Further, he has urged leaders to “exercise maximum restraint” following the airstrike that Trump ordered.

Several European nations are voicing concerns — aside from Israel whose leader, under indictment for corruption, heaped praise on Trump. The “president” has been isolating us from our allies ever since he got into power, and that won’t help after he just escalated tension in the middle east. The UK on Friday warned that further conflict in the region “is in none of our interests” and urged “all parties to de-escalate.”

Tom Tugendhat, the chair of Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, said that “the purpose of having allies is that we can surprise our enemies and not each other.” He went on to say that “it’s been a pattern, sadly, which has been a bit of a shame, that the US administration of late has not shared with us and that is a matter of concern. I would urge the US administration to share much more closely with allies, particularly those who are fighting alongside in the region, including us.”

France, along with our other allies, warned the Trump administration to step back from any further conflict in the region and show restraint.

“What is happening is what we feared: tensions between the United States and Iran are increasing,” said the secretary of state for European affairs, Amélie de Montchalin.

Germany also called out the Trump administration.

“The American action was a reaction to a series of military provocations for which Iran is responsible,” said spokeswoman Ulrike Demmer, however, she warned against any further action, saying, “We stand before a dangerous escalation.”

Meanwhile, Trump supporters who have claimed to be against “globalism” are suddenly for it. Oil prices are now soaring, and Trump, who was elected as being unpredictable, appears to be destabilizing the world. Who saw this coming — besides all of us. It’s not as if Trump will listen to the rest of the world, though. It’s almost as if he has an interest in creating havoc in the region.
