“Trump Won” was a slogan very frequently uttered by pro-Trump figures after the 2020 election, even though it wasn’t true at the time. In 2021, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) showed up to take her oath of office while wearing a “Trump Won” mask.

In 2023, a singer named Natasha Owens released a song called “Trump Won,” with lyrics that stated, “Trump won and you know it/Trump won and you know it/The fake news will never show it/’Cause it’s true/Trump won and you know it.” One of the verses even delved deeply into 2020 election conspiracy lore, including the phrase “We got dead people votin’/ Dropboxes and Dominion/And facts are facts, it’s not just my opinion.”

Those lyrics may or may not have drawn the attention of Dominion Voting System’s legal team, although didn’t gain a great deal of attention outside of hardcore MAGA circles. The song did reach the top of the iTunes charts, as MAGA-related anthems often do.

That is, until after Tuesday’s election night, when a video emerged of Trump sitting at a table at Mar-a-Lago, while the “Trump Won” song played and both Trump attorney Alina Habba and former Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Siggy Flicker were shown dancing to it. Trump was nursing his signature beverage, a Diet Coke, and occasionally tapping his fingers on the table.

Flicker shared the video on Instagram, making the over-the-top declaration that “‘Besides the birth of my children, last night was one of the most magical nights. What a beautiful time to be alive!'”

Trump did not carry Siggy’s home state of New Jersey, although he came closer than Republican candidates traditionally have.

According to a press release Wednesday, a “victory remix” of the “Trump Won” had been released, featuring Nick Nittoli. It’s not clear if the remix would have been released in the event of a Trump loss; after all, the original song followed such a loss.

The release added that Owens has been “a frequent performer at CPAC, Mar A Lago, and many other conservative gatherings, and she’s had extensive media coverage including appearances on Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, Huckabee, Real America’s Voice, War Room with Steve Bannon, The Eric Metaxas Show, Wayne Allyn Root, Lindell TV with Mike Lindell, CNN, Al Jezeera, and HLN, among others.”
