Yesterday, President Joe Biden addressed the nation from the Capitol building on the somber anniversary of the violent January 6th Capitol riot — the very attack on American soil that tore at the seams of this country’s democracy and changed things forever.
But, while I don’t know the President’s personal thoughts and feelings, I feel comfortable saying that Biden wasn’t feeling so somber. He was angry. Rightfully so. The same way all of us are angry, as we watch Donald Trump and his people get away with literal crimes against this country.
President Biden did not use yesterday’s speech to pacify, but rather let the American people know that he feels their pain, and he shares their thoughts with regard to who deserves the blame for that fateful day.
Long story short, without ever mentioning Donald Trump by name, President Biden brutally destroyed his predecessor.

It was exactly what this nation needed to hear if you ask me.
However, it seems Biden’s speech was so fiery and powerful that it took a panel of CNN hosts and analysts a bit by surprise.
Yesterday, CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, along with a panel of network analysts, gave their genuine reaction to President Biden’s stunning January 6th anniversary speech, in which the President was not afraid or ashamed to lay the blame for that fateful attack right where it belongs — on Donald Trump’s shoulders.
“It does show where we have come a year from January 6th, where some people maybe thought we would be in a different position in the United States,” Chief White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins said during the panel. “But clearly, the president of the United States feeling the need to go on the anniversary of this and say his predecessor is a liar is notable.”
“Yeah, I’ve never heard an American president accuse a former president of being a liar along these lines, a threat to American democracy,” Wolf Blitzer responded. “He didn’t mention Trump by name. He didn’t have to mention Trump by name. He referred to the former president over and over again.”
Gloria Borger later weighed in with her own stunned reaction to President Biden’s speech, “He just called the former president of the United States twisted. I mean, this is, you know, Joe Biden unbound here. It’s just — it is remarkable how he directly went after the former defeated president.”
He directly went after the former defeated president because the former defeated president deserved it.
