Donald Trump didn’t seem fazed by the staggering death toll in the United States today as it approaches one hundred thousand lives lost during the novel coronavirus pandemic. The president had other things on his mind: golfing. And while more than a million and a half million Americans have contracted COVID-19, and upwards of thirty-eight million Americans have suddenly found themselves jobless as they shelter at home to flatten the coronavirus curve, that didn’t matter to our morally bankrupt president as he traveled to Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, on Sunday.
The optics are pretty bad this time, and at some point, as more people get infected with the disease, the president will start losing support from his base, too. Although, they do seem to be plague-enthusiasts as they cheer on opening the economy without regard to the death toll climbing daily.
According to a report, Trump was greeted by a small number of protesters outside, with one holding a sign that read: “I care do you? 100,000 dead.” Another woman raised her middle finger to the motorcade as it passed by. It’s a striking photo really as she’s walking down the street with a protective face mask on while flipping off the man who did not take the coronavirus seriously for months.

Last year, a photograph of a woman cyclist giving Trump the middle finger went viral. She was fired over the incident but was later elected to local office in Virginia. Not all heroes wear capes. Some of them just use their middle finger to express their disgust for this president. This time, it was over the septuagenarian assclown’s lack of empathy and disregard for one hundred thousand grieving families in the United States.
