That hole that J.D. Vance is sitting in these days just keeps getting deeper and deeper, and it’s no one’s fault but his own.
Donald Trump’s 2024 VP running mate pick saw an avalanche of scrutiny, criticisms, and controversy from the very moment the scandal-plagued and felony-convicted former president announced his choice in a dramatized Truth Social post on the first evening of the Republican National Convention.
Since then, Vance hasn’t had a chance to play even a moment of offense, as he now seems to spend every waking moment scrambling to defend himself against his own troubling past from both sides of the political fence.
Members of his own party were quick to rail against J.D. over his past unsavory comments about the man he’s now desperately trying to ride into the White House with — the same man he once referred to a “America’s Hitler” and compared to a heroin epidemic, according to Vance’s own former Yale Law School roommate, classmate, and friend.
Meanwhile, the Left is only kicking Vance while he’s down, rightfully so, as a trove of his past horrifying comments is resurfacing and going viral across every platform of social media in existence, with no end in sight.

Vance has yet to even begin to recover from his now-infamous “childless cat ladies” remarks, and already, more of his past nonsense is coming back to haunt him in the worst kind of way.
In a newly resurfaced clip that, from our vantage point looks as though it could’ve been shot in J.D.’s mom’s basement, the now-2024 Republican vice presidential nominee is heard referring to childless Americans as “sociopathic,” “psychotic,” and “deranged” in what appears to be an old podcast interview of some sort.
Vance, who’s sporting a heavy 5 o’clock shadow, disheveled hair, an extra 30 pounds, and a wrinkly Ohio State t-shirt in a dimly lit room, tells the interview host:
There’s just these basic cadences of life that I think are really powerful and really valuable when you have kids in your life. And the fact that so many people, especially in America’s leadership class, just don’t have that in their lives, you know, I worry that it makes people more sociopathic and ultimately our whole country a little bit less mentally stable.
The final point I’ll make is, you go on Twitter, and almost always the people who are most deranged and most psychotic are people who don’t have kids at home.”
