Eric and Lara Trump and no strangers to controversy surrounding the ways they seem to treat their young children. It’s certainly not surprising that the middle Trump son and his wife appear to employ a “bootstraps” kind of approach to parenting their kids, neither of which are even in the double-digit age range yet.
While it’s not for us to say how a person decides to parent their own children, when you put yourself directly into the spotlight like these two do on a daily basis, it’s also impossible for people not to take notice when your children appear to be extremely unhappy more often than not.
Lara and Eric found themselves at the center of some social media backlash here recently after Lara posted a family photo to Twitter to mark the Fourth of July holiday. In the photo, Eric and Lara and standing close enough to make it look like they *might* like each other, with Eric’s hand on Lara’s back, their daughter in between them, and their son in front of them on a bicycle.
“Best we could manage,” Lara captioned the image. “Happy birthday, America!!” alongside a laughing emoji and a few obligatory American flags.
Best we could manage…happy birthday, America!! 😂🇺🇸🎆🎇 pic.twitter.com/pW6teq3oro

But it was the looks on the childrens’ faces that had people on social media raising their eyebrows at how the Trump kids may actually be treated behind closed doors, when mommy dearest isn’t trying to make a Twitter post:
Is that the same kid you made ride a toy car in a thunderstorm? He was crying then too.

Your son appears to be abused again. Remember you forced int a hurricane. You should be reported.

Why is your son crying in most pictures? Maybe don’t force him?

Your son looks like he’s in tears. Maybe step away from the camera for a minute & focus on the kids?
Oh. Yeah.
Happy 4th…— William Bunchuck (@WBunchuck) July 5, 2023
You two suck as parents. It’s quite obvious your kids do not want to be in front of the camera but you two being so self-absorbed insist on putting on this false bravado of being a happy family when you clearly are not.

Why is it when pictures are taken of Trump children they’re always crying. Did you make him ride in the rain, again?
— @ChattaGirl, Lady Blue, (@DeborahYearyDDD) July 5, 2023
Why do the kids always look miserable? 🤷🏽♀️

Look how much your children hate you

Your poor son seems to be crying in every photo.

We get it, kids cry. But when it becomes a social media trend, we start to have questions.
