As they bring their long-running, extensive investigation to a close, preparing to disband as Republican leadership moves in at the beginning of the new year following their razor-thin midterm success, the January 6th House Select Committee has released their 845-page final report, chock full of evidence against the corrupt former president and his cronies. Along with their blistering report, and multiple criminal referrals to the DOJ against Trump and his Republican jockeys, the panel of investigators has begun to release damning transcripts of sworn testimony they obtained from some of the ex-president’s closest insiders.
The transcripts alone have shaped up to be absolutely detrimental to the scandal-ridden former president. But this one may truly be the best so far.
Among the bombshell transcripts to hit the media cycle was testimony from none other than Stephanie Grisham — the woman who served as a close aide, and somewhat of a personal friend to now-former First Lady Melania Trump, during a portion of her husband’s White House term.

Recently, we reported on the deeper revelation from Grisham’s testimony regarding the text message she had sent to Melania in the midst of the J6 Capitol attack, asking the then-first lady to send out a public tweet condemning the violence that was underway at the Capitol building on January 6th, 2021 — the same message that she recently released a screenshot of on her Twitter account — a request that Melania immediately refused.
But when you take a deeper dive into the former Melania aide’s sworn testimony to J6 investigators, it paints a larger picture of a First Lady who was, for all intents and purposes, every bit as corrupt, deranged, and downright nasty as her infamous husband ever thought about being.
The Independent has reporting on the transcript of Ms. Grisham’s testimony before the January 6th House Select Committee, and they zeroed in on one particular revelation from the former first lady’s old aide. Speaking on the text message conversation she had with Melania Trump on January 6th, Grisham testified, “I was trying to gently say to her — because, again, so often she did things no matter — independent of her husband, and she did what she felt was right. So I was trying to gently say, maybe we reach out and do this anyway.”
According to Grisham, Melania responded, “We need to be on the same page with West Wing.”
Stephanie said this assertion from Melania caught her off guard: “In my entire career in that White House, she never, ever, ever said that. It was always kind of an ‘F the West Wing’ attitude.”
Grisham further explained in reference to the infamous text messages, “And so that’s — you see l’m like, ‘I see. Ok,’ because I was flabbergasted. We had never gone along with the West Wing on anything.”

When I very first started my job with her, she said — I mean, she all but told me relinquish your ties with the West Wing, because of course I started out there. We’re going to do our own thing. We aren’t going to worry about them. We are going to do what I want, what I feel is right, and what they say doesn’t matter.”
Grisham recalled that Melania seemed to do a complete 180 in the weeks leading up to January 6th, 2020, when Congress would officially certify her husband’s election loss.
“She started to say, like, something’s not right here and let’s listen to the West Wing. And she had started to, in my opinion, drink somebody’s Kool-Aid that perhaps this election was stolen.”
Grisham said Melania got nastier still when it came to the expectations of her, as the first lady of the United States when it came to the peaceful transfer of power to the Biden Administration — something Trump made a complete and utter mockery of.
The First Lady tradition of “Tea and a Tour” hails all the way back to Bess Truman and Mamie Eisenhower in 1952. Yet, Grisham sent a message to Melania, prompting, “You’ll want to consider if you want to reach out and invite her for the traditional tea tour. Just putting it on your radar.”
Melania responded, “If they invite him, I invite her,” referring to West Wing decisions by her husband to invite Biden into the outgoing Trump White House.
