Laura Ingraham Has A Proposal ‘To Bring The Country Together,’ But Her Idea Spectacularly Falls Flat With Some

This is an interesting idea.

Maybe Fox News’s Laura Ingraham is becoming even more dotty as she grows older. I’m wondering about this because she is now saying if Trump wants to quell the conspiracy theories he should be invited to the White House. So exactly how is this going to help anything?

Is the woman off her psych meds? Sure makes me wonder.

In 2019, Axios dragged her and Fox News after she aired a graphic of white supremacist Paul Nehlen and others that she declared were “prominent voices censored on social media,” per CNN.

Then there was the time when Fox News supported Tucker Carlson after he claimed mass immigration makes the U.S. “poorer and dirtier.” Coupled with that the network also supported Ingraham when she faced criticism for tweets mocking David Hogg, who survived the Parkland, Florida school shooting. There was plenty of fallout over her cruel tweets so she took a scheduled leave at the time.

Fox News sided with host Tucker Carlson after he said mass immigration makes the U.S. “poorer and dirtier.” The network also supported Ingraham after she faced criticism for tweets mocking Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg. She took a scheduled leave amid fallout from her Parkland tweets.

The cable news network tried to defend Ingraham by issuing this offensive statement:

“It is obscene to suggest that Laura Ingraham was defending Paul Nehlen’s despicable actions, especially when some of the names in our graphic were pulled from an Associated Press report on best known political extremists banned from Facebook. Anyone who watches Laura’s show knows that she is a fierce protector of freedom of speech and the intent of the segment was to highlight the growing trend of unilateral censorship in America.”

I guess Ingraham doesn’t understand that she’s supporting this “unilateral censorship,” by promoting a man who is falling into lockstep with groups like The Proud Boys and people like Kanye West (who’s about as anti-Semitic as a person gets) and Nick Fuentes, whom the Southern Poverty Law Center describes as a white nationalist livestreamer. He is not a nice guy in the least.

And now Ingraham has the crackpot idea that bringing Trump to the White House would somehow put a stop to the racist rhetoric/conspiracy theories. I have no idea how this would improve the situation because Trump would just back up his smears with more misinformation.

I know it. And you know it.

“I was thinking about this today — if Harris and Biden really want to end the conspiracy theories and bring the country together, well Harris needs to make a much more vigorous stance here. And you know what would speak volumes? Why not invite former President Trump to the White House?”

Yeah, that would speak volumes alright. It would reinforce Trump’s racist ideas and remind people what he thinks about brown people from “Sh*thole countries.”

“Ingraham: If Harris and Biden really want to end the conspiracy theories.. why not invite Trump to the White House,” wrote @Acyn, the senior digital editor for MeidasTouch.com.

Yes, Ingraham is really this absurd, and X (formerly Twitter) knocked her down a few pegs.

What? She’s flipping nuts. Trump didn’t even show up to Biden’s inauguration. She is a talking head Medusa,” wrote @RealRiverGirl.

Even the Lincoln Project weighed in.

“She should do less thinking, it’s not her strong suit,” observed @Imposter_Edits.

“@IngrahamAngle Sorry you are the company you keep, he’s unhinged,” quipped @DixieDroo

@swd2 added, “Because he’ll refuse to leave and his cult followers will beat up cops with flagpoles and fire extinguishers?”

On November 30, 2023, Ingraham took a week off after a dozen advertisers dropped her after she mocked a survivor of the Parkland school shooting. I wish Fox would just fire her already. She’s every bit as absurd as Tucker Carlson and look what the network did to him.

Jeesh.
