Top Republican Backer Who Hosted Fundraiser For Trump Just Made Maximum Donation To Joe Biden’s Campaign

Donald Trump has long been peddling the claim that the 2020 election is a shoo-in for him. Despite legitimate polls that spell a much more dismal outcome for him this time next year, he continues to take to his Twitter account along with every public speaking event or press gaggle he can get his hands on to perpetuate false poll numbers that depict him in the lead and shout from the rooftops that he’s even more beloved than ever before.

However, just the briefest of looks under the surface of Trump’s near-constant nonsense makes it strikingly clear that Donald isn’t nearly as locked in for reelection as he wants us all to believe.

His true poll numbers, not the ones shadily produced by his White House and force-fed to Fox News, have consistently shown him trailing behind more than one of the Democratic front runners. Life-long Republican voters are leaving their party in the dust at alarming rates and over half of the country supports his impeachment at this point.

And now, as if things couldn’t get much worse for him, one of the top GOP backers in the nation has made the largest contribution possible to a presidential campaign, and it wasn’t Donald’s.

Milwaukee’s Ted Kellner, who held a campaign lunch for Trump just a year ago, has made the maximum donation of $2,800 to former Vice President and Democratic front runner Joe Biden’s presidential campaign — telling the Milwaukee Business Journal that he made the contribution because Biden is a “good friend” of his.

In addition to Ted’s maximum donation, Kellner’s wife, Mary Kellner has also contributed a staggering $5,600 to the former VP’s campaign, with half of it designated to the primary.

“He was and is a good friend. Because of that friendship, I could not not give him something,” Kellner said to the Milwaukee Business Journal of his donation, revealed to have been made on July 10th of this year.

Kellner has long been an ally of the Republican party and has even hosted events for Trump that cost attendees upwards of $10,000 for admission with photo ops featuring the president running a hefty $25,000.

However, I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that Donald won’t be too eager to party hard with his former donor after word of this gets back to him.
