Over the weekend, between late Friday night and early Saturday morning, the Midwest and Southeastern US were absolutely rocked by a series of freak, mid-December tornadoes that tore a path of destruction and despair through 6 states, spanning over 200 miles. The “natural” disaster broke multiple weather records in individual states and the US as a whole — and left over 80 people dead in the hardest-hit state of Kentucky alone, with Governor Beshear somberly noting that the toll is absolutely expected to far exceed 100 lives as search and rescue efforts continue into the week.
Entire towns in the state of Kentucky were left completely obliterated, as do-gooders and good samaritans band together to help their neighbors and strangers in these unprecedented times.
Frankly, if ever there were cold, hard proof of climate change and the severe, dangerous, and pertinent effects of global warming — it’s this. Absolutely nothing about a 200 mile long series of tornados in the dead middle of winter is “natural,” in any conceivable way.
But, of course, even with the proof quite literally smacking them in the face and ripping through homes and businesses, the Right continues to refuse to even see what’s right in front of them.

In fact, they’re so desperate to ignore the environmental crisis, that they’re apparently willing to pull the most insane of insane conspiracy theories out of their tin foil hats in an effort to explain why people’s homes were torn to shreds by a tornado just two weeks shy of Christmas.
And wouldn’t you know, their scapegoat is President Biden himself.
InfoWars host and devout Trump loyalist Alex Jones took his own conspiracy theories a mile too far in the wake of this weekend’s catastrophic events and seemed to imply on his show that the President of the United States used some sort of “weather weapon” to intentionally cause the fatal, disastrous weather event.
“So, they just think you’re stupid and they don’t want you knowing they are doing all of this, and they’ve got carbon systems they are putting in, that big, huge geoengineering systems, terraforming systems that are sucking carbon dioxide out of the air when it’s a trace gas that we need, and was hundreds of times higher millions of years ago than it is now,” Jones raged in his unhinged rant.
“That’s why plants and animals were so much bigger and healthier. But we’ve adapted to live in less air. This is insane, ladies and gentlemen. OK, so the question is did [Joe] Biden last February, this year, order the power turned off in Texas.”
And then… We were “blessed” with this tidbit, folks:
They did officially; they wouldn’t let them up the power. Now, we know that. So the question is did they use weather weapons to cause the tornadoes? That’s a legitimate question to ask.”
This man is quite literally openly implying that the President of the United States used some sort of machine to purpose wreck and ravage 6 states across the nation because, why not?
That is NOT a legitimate question to ask, Jones. Not even close.
