Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has had only two priorities: pass the GOP tax giveaway to the wealthiest and help to confirm wackadoodle conservative judges. Meanwhile, hundreds of bills have been placed in McConnell’s “legislative graveyard.” And now that we’re facing a pandemic that has brought this country to its knees as most of us shelter at home to flatten the coronavirus curve, Mitch doesn’t want to give any relief to Americans while they’re facing this apocalyptic scenario.
McConnell, of course, hit the brakes Tuesday on any speculation that Congress would quickly pass a “phase four” coronavirus bill. Incredibly — after being complicit in adding to our country’s debt — McConnell claims that lawmakers now need to concentrate on the growing debt.

Oh, I see, now that corporations have raided the first stimulus relief package, and the wealthiest Americans were previously gifted with a tax break, as Americans are in financial despair, NOW we should worry about the country’s debt.

He didn’t think about it when he gave himself a huge tax break. But now it’s not okay to help starving Americans. Here’s an idea, take away the tax break and give that money instead to people who need it to survive.

He should have thought about that when he gave out tax breaks for the richest #BailOutPeopleNotCorporations

And how the debt has grown under @GOP leadership. Anyone who thinks #Republicans are “fiscally conservative” needs to look at the actual numbers. #GOP are all on the take

And just where, oh where, did that debt come from and who is licking his greedy chops and looking at the Social Security piggy bank?

Mitch didn’t think about DEBT when they were passing their tax cuts.
Did he have an epiphany?

If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that the heroes aren’t the billionaires or elected officials. The heroes are truckers, grocery store clerks, health care workers, and others who are on the front lines. Those are the same people McConnell is showing disdain for.
