A breaking new report from the Daily Mail has confirmed that yet another high-ranking Russian military official has been eliminated by Ukrainian forces amid Russian dictatorial President Vladimir Putin’s ongoing, devastating invasion and attack against the country of Ukraine. According to the report, this marks the ninth colonel Putin has lost in the war since he invaded Ukraine a little more than a month ago, in late February.
A local Russian announcement revealed that a funeral was held for Colonel Alexander Bespalov on Friday in the closed Russian city of Ozersk. The announcement said that Bespalov was killed “during a special military operation in Ukraine.” “Special military operation” is a term that’s been heavily used by Putin and other Russian officials to avoid calling what they have done what it is — a violent war.
Ukrainian soldiers have been successful in combatting the issue regarding their small numbers with highly targeted strikes against slow-moving Russian tank units. Kyiv defense officials’ latest estimate claims Ukrainian forces have successfully eliminated somewhere around 4,000 Kremlin-owned military defense vehicles.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense also estimates that roughly 19,000 Russian military troops have been eliminated by Ukrainian forces. Additionally, thousands of Moscow soldiers have allegedly retreated from the region around Ukraine’s capital of Kyiv and instead moved their focus to the Russian military efforts surrounding eastern Ukraine.

This week, a senior U.S. defense official revealed news from the Pentagon that many of the combat units that ultimately retreated from Ukraine’s capital are so heavily damaged and depleted that their ability to perform in combat is now under serious scrutiny.
This Ukrainian win marks yet another notch in a long succession of losses on Putin’s end — with multiple high-ranking Russian military officials losing their lives on Ukrainian soil and numerous plots of Ukrainian President Voldomyr Zelenskyy’s life thwarted — likely leaving the Russian dictator broken down, depleted, and becoming rapidly more unhinged.
