Suffice it to say, Donald Trump’s “Save America” rally got really… Really weird tonight.
The disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former guy held yet another of his demented MAGA turned Save America rallies tonight in Selma, North Carolina, despite the fact that he’s not even officially running for president again in 2024 as of now, presumably because he’s trying to skirt those campaign finances laws for as long as he humanly, physically can.
All in all, the whole ordeal was just as unhinged, ridiculous, and off the rails as we’ve come to expect from the guy, chock full of the same old talking point and rhetoric he’s been harping on for literal years now. And, of course, we all bore witness to the traditional, sickening, and fully publicly stroking of Donald’s ego by all his adoring fans in the crowd (other than the one kid who was there because he actually really wanted to see Joe Biden.)
To be frank, the whole thing was pretty damn underwhelming. Except for this part that was just… Well… Weird.

During the rally, a train could be heard outside the venue blowing its horn and interrupting the ex-president’s ego-inflating speech. Now, we have no idea why this train conductor blew his horn or what their political affiliation actually is. But you best believe that, nevertheless, Donald Trump and his crowd of supporters took it as a clear sign of support for the one-term, twice-impeached former guy.
“Do ya see that?! That conductor is a Trump fan!” Donald screamed to the crowd as his audience screamed back “Trump Train!”
“I said ‘What the hell was that?!’ That was a powerful, beautiful train. He is a fan! There is no doubt about it! He’s still honkin’ that sucker outside! Isn’t that a beautiful sound? To me, it’s a beautiful sound.”

I sincerely wish this were some sort of joke. But I have said it before and I will say it again — We genuinely could not make this nonsense up if we tried.
