New York Times correspondent, famed author, and so-called “Trump Whisperer” Maggie Haberman is getting one hell of a run for her money in the bombshell book department, as legendary investigative journalist, who rose to fame over his coverage of the infamous Nixon Watergate scandal, Bob Woodward prepares to drop an absolutely explosive new audiobook, titled The Trump Tapes, that features more than 8-hours of recorded interviews with scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump, hailing from interviews he conducted with Trump as far back as 2016 and as recently as 2020.
And Donald Trump is not reacting well to it.
This week, the scandal-ridden former president sat down for a chat with Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade, where the topic of the impending bombshell audiobook inevitably came up. Suffice it to say that Trump wasted absolutely no time in taking aim at the legendary Watergate reporter, and even going so far as to fall back on his favorite ages-old threat of litigation over who actually retains the rights of the recordings contained in the audiobook.
“In many ways, I like the tapes, I insist on tapes, but I also say the tapes belong to me,” Trump told the Fox host. “That means Woodward has to get whatever deal he made, you know, we’ll probably end up in litigation over it. Because we gave tapes for the written word, not tapes to sell.”

Trump spent a little more time raging at Woodward in his safe space before he claimed to Kilmeade, “we’ve already hired the lawyers to sue him,” before going on to add, “Bob Woodward’s a very sleazy guy.”
Woodward wasn’t alone this time, though — As earlier in the interview, Trump also referred to Chief Washington Correspondent for ABC News Jonathan Karl as a “sleazebag.”
