This is essentially the tennis version of 'Let them eat cake!'

There is a whole lot of crap going on in the world right now. The deadly coronavirus is sweeping the globe leaving death and devastation in its path. The state of Tennessee just recently suffered catastrophic tornadoes that left dozens dead and/or missing. The entire nation is on the edge of their seats regarding the results of Super Tuesday and the impending election soon to follow that will ultimately determine if we’re going to be subjected to yet another four years of Hell on Earth. Justice recently suffered a long, slow, and painful death in the Senate. And Donald Trump, while forever impeached, is still living high on the hog in the White House, just as big a piece of garbage as he ever was.

Seriously, there’s a lot going on. A whole lot worth paying attention to. And more than a little that’s worth legitimately worrying about.

Yet First Lady Melania Trump isn’t using her voice or her platform to warn people of the risks involved with the deadly new virus or how to avoid contracting it. She’s not offering a helping hand to the thousands of people affected by the natural disaster in Tennessee. She’s not even throwing in her two fake cents on the impending election that will determine whether the next four years of her life are in the White House or at Mar-a-Lago where they’ll be hiding out to avoid indictment.

Melania Trump is worried about a tennis court.

That’s right, folks. In the midst of all the trouble and turmoil going on in the world today, Melania wants you all to know that she’s really excited to get the new tennis court all wrapped up at the White House.

Heck, she even donned a hard hat, I suppose to let us know that she really means business.

I am excited to share the progress of the Tennis Pavillion at @WhiteHouse,” Melania’s tweet captioning three pictures of the work being done on the White House tennis pavilion read. “Thank you to the talented team for their hard work and dedication.”

No news on the progress of her learning the word “pavilion,” however.

Try not to be too surprised when I tell you that Twitter wasn’t impressed:

I don’t know about you guys but I’m picking up some serious Marie Antoinette vibes here.

“Oh? People are dying? Children in cages, you say? LET THEM PLAY TENNIS!
