Brutal New FEC Filing Appears To Expose Trouble In Paradise Behind The Scenes Of Donald Trump’s PAC Donation Hauls

Trouble in paradise, Donnie?

Here lately, scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump has been hauling in the political donations left and right by the truckloads. But, according to a brutal new filing from the Federal Election Commission, reported on by Bloomberg, not all is as it seems behind closed doors when it comes to the ex-president’s record-breaking donations to his political fundraising operation.

According to the new figures, Donald Trump’s political fundraising operation raked in a staggering record of $24 million in the third quarter. That number shaped up to be a whopping 41 percent increase over the previous quarter alone. But all is not actually well for the former guy. Far from it, actually. Because according to those same new figures, of that mind-blowing $24 million, approximately $22 million was spent by his operation in overhead. Meaning Trump’s gig spent almost ALL of their money, short a measly couple of millions, to make that staggering figure.

New reporting on the numbers notes that it seems the former guy started to run into problems — whether it became increasingly more difficult for him to raise the money in the first place, or fundraisers were starting to pocket far larger chunks of the change — as the legal perils and neverending scandal began to rapidly close in on him. This, of course, includes the bombshell FBI search and seizure warrant raid at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago resort/personal residence over numerous boxes of stolen government documents, as well as New York Attorney General Letitia James’ recent explosive announcement of her civil lawsuit, alleging fraud against the ex-president’s family company, the Trump Organization.

Trump has undeniably tried to hone in on both of the legal scandals as an excuse to plead and beg for donations from his ignorant base of supporters.

Reporting on Bloomberg’s revelations, HuffPost writes:

Small donations of less than $200 accounted for $9.8 million of Trump’s third-quarter haul, according to Bloomberg’s analysis. To land that money, Trump spent $7.3 million on SMS appeals and just under $7.3 million on online ads. His third-biggest expense went for renting donor lists, which cost $2.8 million, Bloomberg reported.

Trump has raised a record amount of money for a former president, reaping $387 million since losing the 2020 election.

His leadership PAC Save America had $93 million cash on hand at the end of August, according to FEC filings, and collected an additional $3.3 million from a joint fundraising committee in September, Bloomberg reported.

Trump has endorsed more than 280 candidates in various elections since leaving office, but Save America donated just $910,500 to 181 candidates through the end of August, according to Bloomberg.”

However, despite all that money coming in and out of Trump’s operation, it seems he’s downright refusing to spread any of the wealth. Republicans have become increasingly desperate to shake the former guy down for a little cash, but Trump maintains a less-than-giving attitude. Even Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel sat on a conference call back in August where she literally desperately begged GOP donors to pony up for the Republican candidates who were falling flat on their faces, just a few short months before November’s upcoming election. But Trump said, “New phone. Who dis?”
