Apparently, controversial Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s teen criminal son still doesn’t have an attorney to represent him in his “crime spree” case and it seems the judge is beginning to get a little irritated over it.

Recently, we reported that 19-year-old Tyler Boebert appeared before 9th Judicial District Judge John Neiley and whined that he was finding it difficult to afford an attorney to represent him in this case, stating to the court at the time, “We are working to hire an attorney, but it’s just been kind of hard with the prices. Worst case scenario, if we can’t get something figured out with the lawyer then we’re going to apply for a public defender or whatever works best for me.”

According to Colorado’s Westword outlet, the teen father — whose charges include ID theft, trespassing, and going on shopping sprees with stolen credit cards — has appeared in court once again, where he once again told the judge that he still has not acquired legal representation.

“I have now sent…um, I can’t remember what…like, the document to sign up for a public defender,” Tyler told 9th Judicial District Judge John Neiley in court on Thursday, according to the local publication. “I’ve sent it in. I haven’t gotten a message back, but it was very recently. It was only a couple days ago.”

The teen claimed to have interviewed one private attorney to take on his case but has not yet made any decisions regarding his representation.

“I’ve gotten a lot closer,” Tyler told the judge. “I’m working things out with a lawyer to get that figured out. So it seems like I do have options. But I’m still waiting to get the 100%.”

Westword noted that Lauren’s son does, in fact, have the financial means to hire a private attorney, but yet still has not figured out his legal footing enough to move forward.

It seemed that Tyler’s procrastination on this matter left Judge Neiley a bit irked: “I wish you had turned in that application a little sooner. If you’ve done that, you just have to wait for the public defender to make their decision. We can continue it to the June 13 docket.”

The congresswoman’s 19-year-old son was recently the subject of headlines across the country after a Facebook post from the Rifle Police Department went viral, confirming that the Boebert spawn had been arrested and charged with multiple felony counts in connection with a string of vandalism and thefts in their local area.

Tyler was ultimately busted red-handed after he was easily identified on security footage at a local gas station immediately after one of the thefts, sporting a hoodie from his parents’ now-shuttered Shooters Grill.
