Chris Christie Believes Trump Kept Classified Govt Documents As “Trophies” To Parade Around Properties And “Assauge” His Delusional Belief That He’s Still President

Ever since the news broke of the bombshell FBI search and seizure warrant raid at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort turned post-White House personal residence in the late summer of this year, the speculations have swirled almost non-stop as to why the former president chose to blatantly and knowingly violate multiple laws and regulations to steal highly-classified government documents from the Executive Mansion at the end of his already tumultuous and scandal-ridden term.

In the days and weeks following the raid, it didn’t take long for the American people to discover the why behind the Justice Department’s decision to make such an unprecedented move against a former president — after it turned out that Trump had purposefully and maliciously lied to the National Archives and Records Administration so many times, in their attempts to recover the stolen materials, that the DOJ had no choice but to issue the search and seizure warrant — but the true method behind Donald Trump’s madness remains up in the air, to this day.

However, that hasn’t stopped the analyses, speculations, and theories from being as abundant as ever.

Many experts, analysts, and former insiders have theorized that the ultimate driving force behind Trump’s decision to steal literal government property boiled down to leverage he hoped to use for his ever-floundering political future.

But Chris Christie, the former New Jersey governor who was once a staunch supporter of the scandal-ridden former guy, has a different theory that certainly makes a whole lot of sense, when you really think about the former president and his narcissistic, delusional personality he’s become infamous for over the years.

In an appearance on ABC News’ This Week over the weekend, Christie offered up his former insider theory that Donald Trump ultimately stole and kept those documents and materials as “trophies.”

“He wanted to keep these documents as a trophy. That’s what they were, more than anything,” Christie said in the interview.

When the host presented the abundant theories pertaining to political leverage as a driving force behind Trump’s unhinged decision, the former NJ governor pushed back on the notion, explaining, “I think it’s much more likely they’re a trophy that he walks around and says, ‘Look, I’ve got this. I’ve got this classified document or that,'” adding that Trump quite literally cannot accept or believe that he is no longer the president of the United States.

Christie goes on to theorize that Trump kept the documents “to display to everybody down at Mar-a-Lago or up in Bedminster during the summer,” using the material as something to constantly draw back on his time in the White House.

“The replica Resolute Desk in Mar-a-Lago and all the rest of those things are things that are assuaging, you know, his disappointment and his disbelief that he’s not the president anymore,” the former Trump ally said.
