CNN Anchor Breaks Down Crying On Live Television After Election Is Called For Biden

I'm not crying, you're crying.

It was announced on two networks that America has chosen Joe Biden as its 46th president after so many have suffered for four years with Donald Trump at the helm. Americans have been isolated at home, grieving for lives lost from COVID-19, the pandemic Trump failed to act upon when he first learned of the looming threat. And instead of calming the waters, racial tensions were stoked by Donald J. Trump.

The Americans that suffered the most are people of color. Trump refused to admit that systematic racism is a huge issue in the U.S. Even though systemic racism impacts nearly every facet of life for people of color, Trump failed those Americans. CNN commentator Van Jones broke down on the air, displaying the relief he felt when Biden won the election.

“It’s easier to be a dad this morning. It’s easier to tell your kids, ‘Character matters, being a good person matters,'” Jones said. “And it’s easier for a whole lot of people. If you’re Muslim in this country, you don’t have to worry that the president doesn’t what you here. If you’re an immigrant, you don’t have to worry if the president is happy your baby has been snatched away.”

“This is vindication for a lot of people who really have suffered. ‘I can’t breathe.” That was not just George Floyd. There were a lot of people who felt like they couldn’t breathe,” he continued.

“This is a big deal; for us to get some peace and have a reset. Being a good man matters,” he added. “I want my son to look at this. It is a good day for this county. I am sorry for the people who lost, but for most, this is a good day.”

Watch:

Americans are suffering through multiple national crises, and we’ve had a president that lists his grievances instead of leading the country. We are all Van Jones now. Trump relishes in the grief of others, and now he’s been rejected by the country he failed to lead. Trumpism is a hate cult, and America is better than that. Joe Biden will be a thoughtful president, using his words wisely instead of lashing out on Twitter.

We’ve all suffered under the cruelest presidency in recent history — including Trump supporters, but they just don’t seem to realize that, and they certainly don’t care about the rest of us. MAGA is dead, and any pro-Trump protests will only be seen as a funeral procession.
