Cold-Hearted Trump Appears To Brag About His Upcoming NRA Speech Just Days After Uvalde Tragedy, As Multiple People Cancel Their Appearances Out Of Respect For The Victims

There is a line in the world that some people refuse to cross, regardless of how “patriotic” and “conservative” they are.

Attending an event held by the National Rifle Association in Houston, Texas, just 72 hours after 19 innocent children and 2 beautiful teachers were slaughtered by an 18-year-old high school dropout turned gunman inside their 4th-grade classroom, less than 300 miles away in Uvalde, Texas, is one of those lines.

Today’s Houston NRA event — which was slated to see appearances by numerous high-profile Republicans such as TX Governor Greg Abbott, TX Senator Ted Cruz, and former President Donald Trump, as well as multiple other notable names and even celebrity musicians — has been a topic of contention since Salvador Ramos opened fire and claimed 21 lives inside Robb Elementary School on Tuesday.

In the wake of the heinous Uvalde tragedy, the event has rightfully seen numerous cancellations by the likes of world-renowned “American Pie” singer Don McLean, who said attending the event on the heels of such a catastrophic event would be “hurtful” and “disrespectful” to the victims and their families, country music stars Lee Greenwood, Larry Gatlin, and T. Graham Brown, and even the manufacturer of the AR-15 style semi-automatic assault rifle that was used by Salvador Ramos in the shooting. In a new statement, the Daniel Defense company said they were canceling their attendance at the NRA convention “due to the horrifying tragedy.”

Even Texas’ staunch Republican incumbent Governor Greg Abbott has backed away from the NRA event today, choosing to appear via pre-recorded video while he goes to Uvalde for a press conference.

But when it comes to Donald Trump, there is no line.

When it comes to Donald Trump, who’s almost undoubtedly vying for another crack at the presidency, not only is he still attending the controversial event, he is openly bragging about his upcoming appearance.

In a phone interview with far-right radio host Sebastian Gorka, who once served in Trump’s administration and has deep ties to the far alt-Right, the disgraced former president openly bragged, “I’m making a speech tomorrow at the NRA in Huston and it’ll be very interesting.”

“And so yeah, interesting time to be making such a speech, frankly.”

Interesting? It’s an interesting time, Trump? 21 families are burying their loved ones. The parents of 19 children are burying their babies… And it’s “Interesting”?

Trump went on to launch an attack against Congresswoman Liz Cheney, who serves as one of the very few Republicans who have dared to publicly push back against Donald’s crimes and corruption.

But he doubled back and tripled down on his NRA speech once more, stating, “But on Friday night, I’ll be in Houston. And we’ll be making a speech and discussing a lot of the things which you would agree to, and you know, you have to protect, you have to protect your Second Amendment. You have to give that Second Amendment great protection, because without it, we would be a very dangerous country frankly.”

Just when you thought he couldn’t possibly get any worse…
