Conservative Reporter Who Was Banned From Briefings After Refusing To Adhere To Social Distancing Guidelines Is Invited Back Despite Violating Rules

They don't care who they put at risk as long as someone's there to cover them in a flattering light.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak absolute havoc on this entire nation, now leaving the United States in the top spot with the highest number of infected individuals, to say that the social distancing guidelines put forth by the CDC and WHO are crucial would be an understatement.

However, much like their dear leader, one right-wing reporter didn’t seem to have any interest in taking those stringent guidelines seriously when it came to being part of the press pool that covered Donald Trump’s daily coronavirus press briefings.

One America News Network reporter Chanel Rion was voted out of the briefings by the White House Correspondents’ Association after she allegedly refused to adhere to social distancing guidelines during the pressers, putting everyone in the room at risk.

However, Rion now claims that she won’t be barred from the events after all after she was personally invited back by none other than Trump’s press secretary, Stephanie Grisham.

During an appearance on OANN this afternoon, Rion stated, “The rule they said I violated was that I was violating social distancing guidelines by standing in the aisle or standing in that room when I was not allowed to. I spoke with Stephanie Grisham this morning, I met with her, we discussed the situation, and she invited me again to attend the briefing today as her guest standing in the back, and I will be in the briefing room today.”

Adding that there’s “no official statement coming out of the White House yet.”

So far, the White House has unsurprisingly not returned any requests for comments regarding the reporter’s return to the briefing after being barred by the Correspondents’ Association.

The decision was made by the White House Correspondents’ Association after the OANN reporter attended two different briefings that she wasn’t cleared to attend due to limited space under social distancing guidelines and the rotation schedule of reporters previously agreed upon to keep the room less crowded.

However, it’s really no surprise that Rion would be invited back so quickly by the White House press secretary, as she’s one of the few that covers the president in a positive light, resulting in Trump regularly calling on her for questions.

It seems that once against the Trump administration doesn’t much care who they’re putting at risk, so long as they get what they want in the end.
