If there’s anything that the Conservative crowd has proven to the world over the last handful of weeks since Joe Biden took office, it’s their overwhelming and resounding jealousy of the “other side.”
The fact of the matter is, there’s just not a lot of anything that’s newsworthy at all to complain about when it comes to Biden and his various acts since becoming president, so the right has seemingly taken to petty, immature grievances because they obviously have nothing better to do with their sad, pathetic lives.
Recently, their side kicked up a big stink over something as stupid as the makeup that was worn by Trump’s press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki. Then a Conservative magazine attempted to cause Dr. Jill Biden of trying to copy Melania’s inauguration style. And now, a Conservative news site is going so far as to whine and complain over… Get this… Jill Biden’s hair scrunchie.
Yea. You didn’t read that wrong. One right-wing news publication has evidently found themselves so upset that they’re willing to pen a piece about it, over the fact that people love Dr. Biden’s humble hair scrunchie but didn’t pay much attention to Melania Trump’s numerous designer duds.
Last week, First Lady Jill Biden visited a Black-owned bakery, The Sweet Lobby, to “pick up some Valentine’s treats for the weekend.”

Dr. Biden was dressed simply but elegantly in a light pink coat, beautiful floral earrings, a simple black mask, and her hair pulled back in a ponytail with a light blue scrunchie as she carried out her bag of fresh-baked treats.
Lo and behold, the Conservative was super miffed over the device with which she chose to pull her hair back.
The Washington Examiner actually wasted their time writing a piece to express their jealously and anger on Melania Trump’s behalf for the coverage First Lady Biden got for her humble scrunchie “after four years of harsh Melania Trump coverage.”
The report reads:
Biden’s coverage stands in stark contrast to that of Trump, who was often mocked by media outlets during her time in the White House for a variety of alleged infractions, including her Christmas decorations, her approval rating, her push to combat childhood bullying, and her fashion choices.”
The Washington Post penned a piece on the Biden scrunchie, noting that the simple, humble gesture signifies a “return to normalcy,” and a stark change from Jill’s predecessor who always seemed cold, distant, and uncaring.
Leave it to a scrunchie to capture the zeitgeist of President Biden’s promise to ‘return to normalcy,’ a stark departure from the ‘I don’t really care message sent by Trump. After four choreographed and highly manicured years, Jill Biden’s laissez-faire approach to her public image and her affectionate relationship with her husband may foreshadow a different approach to the traditionally staid and formal office of the First Lady.”
Kate Anderson Brower, the author of numerous books on White House traditions, even told the Post in an interview that there was a notable change in the air.
Dr. Biden has already been out and about in Washington more publicly than her predecessor was in four years. There’s a stark difference between [Donald] Trump and [Joe] Biden, the presidents, and an equally stark difference between their wives. Biden has decades of experience being herself in public and she’s obviously much more comfortable holding her husband’s hand and being a demonstrably loving mother and grandmother when the world is watching.
I think we need that right now.”
Jill’s scrunchie was revealed in a sweet tweet she sent out giving a shoutout to the bakery:
