Something to hide, Eric?

It sure looks like Eric Trump is afraid of incriminating himself since, according to attorney Luppe B. Luppen, who goes by SouthPaw on Twitter, the twice-impeached one-term President’s son invoked the Fifth Amendment 500 times in six hours. New York Attorney General Letitia James is investigating the Trump Organization, and she’s not getting any answers from Eric Trump.

Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg also invoked the Fifth Amendment to more than 500 questions, according to screen captures that Luppen posted on Twitter.

Tish James doesn’t mess around.

Trump really thinks he’s above the law.

Imagine that.

“During his examination on Oct. 5, 2020, when asked a question that went beyond basic background information, Eric Trump delivered extended prepared remarks objecting to the investigation and invoking his right against self-incrimination,” the filing disclosed.

Trump claimed on Saturday during his rally in Arizona that he didn’t know “who the hell she is,” however, he filed a lawsuit against Tish James last month, accusing her of trying to “harass” him with investigations.

I’m going to go out on a limb here to suggest that the former President has a penchant for lying.

Trump’s past thoughts on invoking the Fifth Amendment.

“If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment,” Trump said as a candidate in 2016, complaining about aides of Hillary Clinton’s, who faced inquiries over the use of a private email service during her time as secretary of state.

“You see, the mob takes the Fifth,” Trump said during a campaign stop in Iowa in 2017. “If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

Ohhhh.
