Things got extremely awkward, uncomfortable, and downright humiliating for TX Republican Senator Ted Cruz over the weekend after a notable member of his own party brutally called the GOP lawmaker out to his face and absolutely dragged Cruz for an entire litany of transgressions in front of God and everybody at the Texas Republican Party convention.
Alex Stein, a notorious far-Right social media “activist,” found himself on the receiving end of an influx of social media attention over a variety of very public antics during this weekend’s GOP event in Texas. Stein garnered quite a bit of attention over a very aggressive encounter he had with controversial TX House Rep. Dan Crenshaw. But it was a video clip of his belligerent confrontation with Senator Cruz that truly caught our attention.
In the recorded footage of the conflict, Stein can be seen publicly calling out Ted Cruz on all of his greatest hits — including the senator’s infamous Cancun trip as his constituents literally froze to death back home, as well as Cruz’s ridiculous fawning over Donald Trump, the man who openly made fun of Ted’s wife back in the 2016 presidential election season.
“If you care about America, why do you do that to your constituents in the freezing cold?” Stein shot at Cruz.

“You know, I’m sure you think you’re really smart…” Cruz fired back, clearly growing rapidly uncomfortable.
“Oh, I am smart, because you’re a globalist,” Stein cut Cruz off. “You do more for Ukraine than you do for America. Remember how Trump made fun of your wife and you go become best friends with Trump?”
The far-Right “activist” went on to slam Cruz as a “coward” and fired off, “you care more about the border between Ukraine and Russia than you care about the border between Texas and Mexico.”
At that point, people began to pull Stein away from the Texas senator as he continued to heckle and throw out brutal insults like “a globalist, a coward, and a liar.”
As security was pulling the Right-winger away from the Republican congressman, Stein shouted, “When people were freezing and dying, you were in Cancun, Mexico. Remember that? You remember when you were at the all-inclusive buffet while people were freezing? You remember that, Ted?”
This might be the first time I’ve ever agreed with a Republican.
