DC’s top prosecutor, Karl Racine, wasn’t fooling around and suggested that Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Rudy Giuliani may all be investigated and charged for their potential roles in inciting a violent insurrection when supporters of the outgoing president stormed the US Capitol. Attorney General for the District of Columbia Karl Racine appeared on Good Morning America to talk about the violence that erupted and how we got there.
Racine said on GMA, “I think the question is, how far up does it go? Clearly, the Capitol was ground central in all of this mob’s behavior.”
“Donald Trump Jr., Giuliani, even the president of the United States, were calling on their supporters and hate groups to go to the Capitol and, in the words of Rudy Giuliani, ‘exercise combat justice,’” he continued.
“We’re going to investigate not only the mobsters but also those who invited the violence,” he added.

Trump urged his MAGA crowd to “fight like hell” and falsely called the outcome of the election “this egregious assault on our democracy,” then he said his supporters should “walk down to the Capitol.” Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani called for “trial by combat” during the same rally. Donald Trump Jr. worked the audience into a frenzy by warning of challenges to Republican members of Congress who did not back the pro-Trump efforts that “We’re coming for you.”
Meanwhile, the Department of Justice has not ruled out bringing charges against Trump. The outgoing president will become a private citizen on January 20th when Biden is sworn in.
And then there’s this:
The Justice Department will pursue at least 55 criminal cases against rioters who stormed the Capitol this week, and may also charge anyone who played a role in inciting the violence, Michael Sherwin, the top federal prosecutor in Washington, D.C., said.
“We’re looking at all actors here and anyone that had a role and, if the evidence fits the elements of the crime, they’re going to be charged,” Sherwin said.
While Americans are suffering through multiple crises, our malignant narcissistic president added another one to the list. Time to lawyer up, Mr. Trump. I hear that Kraken lady is available — or maybe not. Sydney Powell is going to need her own lawyers right now.
