As the nation has yet to stop reeling from Dr. Oz’s disgusting comment regarding the coronavirus outbreak and children, a Texas doctor seems to have adopted his talking points and added his own sickening twist to the narrative.
During an interview with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd, Odessa, Texas doctor Sudip Bose explained that he wants to see the economy opened back up and we should simply allow the virus to “go through all of us.”
“Is Odessa ready for more people in public and a spike that could come with it?” Todd questioned the doctor who’s done previous interviews on the show.
“It’s tough decisions, like, which direction would you rather be wrong?” Dr. Bose responded. “For us, a tiered opening does make sense at this time, and from the emergency room here, to be brutally honest, I think that this virus, in my opinion, is going to go through all of us throughout the United States.”

He went on to suggest that a coronavirus vaccine wouldn’t actually be all that helpful.
“The flu vaccine was 50% effective and you really have to get things right,” Bose stated. “If you don’t bind that properly, actually antibodies bind to it and it increases advancement into the cell. So long story short, I don’t think a vaccine is going to rescue us or a med, looking at the trials currently.”
“I think the best-case scenario is you open things up in a calculated manner based on numbers and facts, not feelings. And let it go through,” he continued, adding, “And the best-case scenario, it may go through our kids first.”
The doctor attempted to excuse his statement by claiming, “kids are almost 100% protected.”
“And then it goes to their young parents,” Bose went on. “And what we did in Italy that was good, was culturally those kids went to grandma and grandpa and they got sick. So, we’ve got to do this in a calculated manner.”
“And I think it is time to open our economy now,” he proclaimed.
Let me just be clear here — no one is exempt from dying as a result of coronavirus. Children are dying. Old people are dying. You, vibrant, healthy adults are dying. There has not been a single demographic of human beings that have been wholly exempt from the fatal effects of COVID-19. Are there smaller percentages within certain age groups? Yes. Am I willing to sacrifice those people for the “greater good”? Hell no.
