Former Dick Cheney Cardiologist Gives Trump Dire Warning, Estimates “Obese” Trump’s Chances Of Dying If He Contracts Coronavirus

On Monday, Donald Trump claimed to be taking hydroxychloroquine even though studies have confirmed that the drug offers few benefits to COVID-19 patients. According to the FDA, the drug could cause heart rhythm problems for coronavirus patients, and should not be taken outside of a hospital setting, but the president just threw that claim out there. That has brought up a question regarding Trump’s obesity since the drug should not be taken for people who are obese, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pointed out.

Many people are skeptical of Trump’s claim to be taking the anti-malarial drug due to his penchant for lying. Still, Dr. Jonathan Reiner, a former cardiologist for Dick Cheney, appeared on CNN with Dr. Sanjay Gupta and explained why Fat Nixon might be taking hydroxychloroquine.

“I think the last thing we need is for this president to have mood swings,” the doctor said, referring to one of the side effects.

“The White House medical unit obviously made a calculated decision that they considered his risk of taking the drug lower than his risk of actually contracting the virus,” Dr. Reiner said. “My calculations, I think his risk… he probably has a 15 to 20 percent chance of dying of this virus should he contract it.”

“He is a vulnerable patient in this regard,” Dr. Gupta said. “Given his age, given his preexisting conditions of heart disease, obesity is a significant risk factor for people having worse outcomes with this infection. We saw that in all the data.”

Watch:

Dr. Sanjay Gupta also advised against taking the unproven drug that Trump has touted as a cure for the novel coronavirus. Given Trump’s germophobia and his tendency to be paranoid, it’s not a stretch to think he might be taking hydroxychloroquine, but since the president has a form of heart disease, it seems that either choice would be risky. And frankly, Trump is too much of a coward to take his own dangerous advice. This president would rather other people do it to prove him right.

Trump hasn’t been out there shooting up Lysol or sticking flashlights up his massive ass to my knowledge. But, if he wants to prove us wrong, who are we to stop him?
