Former Trump Insider Claimed POTUS Will Resign If High-Ranking Aides Are Forced To Testify In Senate Trial: “There Is No Way He Can Handle The Heat Of That Testimony”

We can only hope he's right!

After the House of Representatives cast their formal votes recently, Donald Trump officially joined the ranks of his predecessors Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton as an impeached president of the United States.

However, Trump has broken away from the precedent of those before him by refusing to step down from his position — as Nixon resigned as president of the US before his impeachment proceedings had a chance to make it to a Senate trial where he would officially be removed from office.

Frankly, we’ve all been of the belief that Donald is far too arrogant to actually leave his position and would rather go down in a complete dumpster fire than to hold on to any shred of his dignity with a respectful resignation.

But according to one former Trump administration insider, that may not be the case after all, if certain high-ranking, key aides are ultimately forced to testify at Donald’s Senate impeachment trial.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s AM Joy, former Trump White House communications official Anthony Scaramucci predicted that Donald would just as soon resign before he sat and painfully watched his key high-ranking aides deliver what I can only imagine would be an absolutely damning testimony to the Senate — namely his personal attorney, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and his former security advisor John Bolton.

“Let’s talk about Republican Senate for a second,” Scaramucci began. “They are allowing this. End of the day, he [Trump] completely broke the law. You go through the different categories, you look at the facts.”

“Joy,” the former Trump aide went on. “We haven’t seen the primary witness testimony. Those four people, whether it’s Mulvaney, Bolton, Giuliani, Pompeo — if they have to testify under oath, he has to leave. So there’s four senators that need to be moved to allow for a full and fair trial. If that happens, scoundrel number one, he’ll leave before that testimony.”

“You think he’ll resign?” Reid questioned, rather shocked.

“There is no way he can handle the heat of that testimony,” Scaramucci fired back.

In the end, it may very well be Trump’s ego that’s the end all be all. As of now, he’s far too arrogant to resign. But once he knows he’s fucked, he’ll likely be far too arrogant to let the truth come out. And John Bolton’s willingness to testify will almost assuredly speed things up.
