Throughout this whole coronavirus ordeal, Trump’s response has been a whole lot less helpful to the American public in any conceivable way and a whole lot more just a power grab for whatever extra shred of authority he thinks he can get his hands on.
Instead of getting ahead of this pandemic before it was even an issue within the United States, Trump essentially twiddled his thumbs until it blew up in our faces. Now, whether or not that’s something he wanted to happen, we’ll likely never know. However, it’s certainly no secret that, original intent or not, Donald has capitalized on the opportunity to blindly grab at some extra authority in this nation.
And typically speaking, his beloved Fox News Network is never far behind, further peddling his crap.
That is until now it seems.

Trump’s most recent grab came in one of his most favorite forms — immigration.
He announced yesterday via Twitter, because that’s the world we live in now, that he will be implementing a total ban on immigration until the “Invisible Enemy” (the coronavirus) has been dealt with — a move he’s been itching to make since his campaigning days, virus or not.
In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!

But one particular Fox News host couldn’t quite seem to get behind this Trump move after she realized that she may lose her nanny because of it.
During a segment today, Ainsley Earhardt expressed her concerns regarding the effect Trump’s ban will have on the au pair she employs to care for her children, noting that the individual is employed on a work visa and has to return to their country to renew the visa before coming back to the states — something that won’t be allowed under Trump’s new ban.

It’s funny how, much like Trump and his immigrant wife, these people don’t much care about immigrants at all until it starts to affect their personal level of comfort.
