He's flat out done with Donald Trump's bullying tactics.

Over the course of the last couple of days, Donald Trump has been flashing his dictator skills like a toddler with a shiny gold star. And evidently he’s been practicing the tactics of Hitler, Stalin, Putin, And Kim Jong Un before bedtime quite a lot recently because he’s pretty damn spot on now.

In addition to the underground bunkers and using the United States military like they’re his own personal toy soldiers, Trump has taken to behaving as though the governors of this nation are at his beck and call, as well — all but demanding during a call with them yesterday that they start “dominating” protesters who are demonstrating against police brutality in the United States in the wake of George Floyd’s murder.

The man seems to just think that he gets to bark orders at everyone he pleases, whenever he pleases.

But one Houston police chief has got news for Donald Trump.

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asked Houston police chief Art Acevedo for his thoughts on Trump’s demand of local governors across the nation. And although Amanpour told Acevedo that he didn’t have to speak on the president if he didn’t want to, the police chief wasn’t about to let the opportunity pass him by.

“Let me just say this to the president of the United States of behalf of the police chiefs in this country,” Art began his response. “Please, if you don’t have something constructive to say, keep your mouth shut. Because you’re putting men and women in their early 20s at risk. This is not about dominating. It’s about winning hearts and minds and let’s be clear — we do not want people to confuse kindness with weakness.”

“That’s the basic tenets of leadership and we need leadership now more than ever,” the police chief continued. “This is not Hollywood. This is real life. And real lives are at risk.”

Now… If Donald Trump were to keep his mouth shut unless he had something constructive to say, he’d never speak at all.

Aaahhhh. Now I get it.
