First Lady Melania Trump needs to be reminded by someone on her staff that schools across the country are closed right now because of a deadly pandemic. So maybe now is not an appropriate time to promote “happiness” in schools.
But that is what Melania did in a tweet calling back to her and her husband’s ego-stroking trip to India back in February when President Donald Trump had already been warned about the coming pandemic and chosen to ignore it.
Melania claimed that she noticed happiness being part of the classroom curriculum in India and urged schools to do the same here as if schools haven’t already.

Her tweet was met with scorn, especially since schools are closed right now and parents are stressing out about homeschooling.

Melania’s tweet is tone-deaf and should have been saved for a later date when schools are back in operation. All she did is demonstrate that she is just as out-of-touch with reality as her husband.
