Recently, New York Attorney General Letitia James put Donald Trump and his spawns right, flat in their place when she went to court and successfully forced the corrupt family to comply with the subpoenas her office issued for their under oath depositions back in December of last year.
“In the final analysis, a State Attorney General commences investigating a business entity, uncovers copious evidence of possible financial fraud, and wants to question, under oath, several of the entities’ principals, including its namesake. She has the clear right to do so,” Judge Arthur Engoron wrote in his decision earlier this month. The former president and his two eldest children, Ivanka and Don Jr., were given 21 days to complete their depositions.
The legal team for Donald Trump, who made quite the asses of themselves during the court appearance itself, were quick to lash out against the ruling, calling it confirmation of “what we’ve already known for some time — Donald J. Trump cannot get a fair ruling in the State of New York.”
“The abhorrent statements made by Letitia leave no doubt that this is yet another politically motivated witch-hunt. It is disappointing that the Judge overlooked her egregious prosecutorial misconduct and has allowed her investigation — which blatantly violates the US Constitution — to continue undeterred. The court clearly had its mind made up and had no interest in engaging in impartial discourse on this critically important issue,” Trump attorney Alina Habba fumed.

And now, according to a new report from CNN, what we all knew was coming in just a matter of time has officially happened — Donnie’s legal team is desperately scrambling for an appeal against the ruling in a last-ditch effort to keep his and his kids’ asses out of the hot seat.
“The notice of appeal, filed on Monday, is the first step in the process. In the coming days, the Trumps are expected to file a request seeking a stay, or a delay of the deadline to comply with the depositions, to allow them time to argue the merits of the case,” the CNN report reads.
“Trump and his team believe it would be hard to run for president while under criminal indictment, according to a source familiar with their thinking. With the possibility of charges fading in New York, specifically, Trump’s legal team plans to litigate against New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil probe for as long as they can, the source said.”
Appeal all you want, Donald. Letitia James isn’t going anywhere.
