Donald Trump held a town hall-style event in La Crosse, Wisconsin, with former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, now a member of his staff, moderating. This week, reports confirmed that Gabbard officially endorsed Trump and, along with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., joined his transition team.
At nearly every event—whether a town hall, rally, press conference, or gaggle—Trump leaves behind a trail of incoherent rants, declining poll numbers, and disillusioned former supporters, while campaign strategists look on in frustration.
The energy at this town hall started off low, with the typical “God Bless the U.S.A.” blaring, a song meant to hype the crowd. Whether due to sound issues or the crowd’s lack of enthusiasm, the atmosphere remained flat. Gabbard, as the moderator, seemed unlikely to challenge Trump, raising doubts about her impartiality.
If this event were a ship, it would have sunk quickly. Before the first audience question, Trump launched into his usual long-winded tirades. When an audience member, asked how he planned to address inflation, Trump rambled, stating that people would “vote with their stomachs.” As Ron Filipkowski stated it was like an open mic night, but instead of it being a comedy club, it’s at the assisted living facility.

One commenter quipped that it sounded as if Trump was confessing he couldn’t digest bacon.
Maybe he means some people don’t eat bacon because it causes gas for them. Maybe he is just talking about his personal problems here. That is why he says when it doesn’t blow , we have a problem. Bloating is no fun.

During his trial, there were reports that he was possibly passing gas which a commentor seized on.

As the event came to a close, it became clear that Trump’s once magnetic pull on his base may be waning. His responses lacked substance, and the crowd’s tepid reaction suggested that even his most loyal supporters are beginning to question his leadership. With key figures like Gabbard and Kennedy on board, Trump is attempting to re-energize his campaign, but whether this will be enough to reverse his declining momentum remains to be seen.
