Republicans have been demanding a vote on the impeachment inquiry that was launched after Donald Trump’s quid pro quo phone call with Ukraine’s president. But during the vote today, Republicans voted it down. However, the measure — which establishes rules for open hearings and the questioning of witnesses by members and staff (which Republicans previously wanted) — passed in a 232-196 vote along party-lines with two Democrats voting nay and Justin Amash, now an Independent, voting for the measure.
While Donald Trump is pathetically screaming in his Twitter timeline about a “Witch Hunt,” Princess Ivanka weighed in, too, suggesting that her father is “surrounded by enemies.”
“…surrounded by enemies and spies catching and perverting every word that falls from my lips or flows from my pen, and inventing where facts fail them.” -Thomas Jefferson’s reflections on Washington, D.C. in a letter to his daughter Martha.
Some things never change, dad!— Ivanka Trump (@IvankaTrump) October 31, 2019
Twitter users dragged the First Daughter/Grifter to school.
Thomas Jefferson didn’t have the Russian Mafia knee deep in our government. Invoking this Man is sacrilege to America and you committed Treason with your dad. Thomas Jefferson was very clear on Treason, of which your entire family is guilty of. IMPEACH the Traitors. Bye Felicia!

Before people get angry with Ivanka comparing her ignorant, unread father to an intelligent, learned man like Thomas Jefferson, Jefferson did have sex with women without consent, so it’s not as big a stretch as it might appear on first glance. https://t.co/gKUUCDO7bL
