Look, if anyone on the face of the floating space rock has had the utmost degree of patience, understanding, and even compassion for Fox News’ Peter Doocy, it’s been President Biden’s Press Secretary Jen Psaki. But even Jen can only take so much.
Over the past almost year, we’ve covered so, so very many instances of Jen Psaki being forced to deal with Peter Doocy’s Fox News branded bullshit — and she always remains so calm, cool, and collected, yet fierce and strong at the same time. It’s no secret that it’s one of the things we admire about her most.
Her grace and poise when faced with some of the most ignorant and insulting statements and questions day in and day out is something to truly behold. But frankly, I personally like it best when she forgoes a bit of the poise and grace for a bit of fire and ferocity. And that’s precisely what she did today when she seemingly found herself officially fed up with Doocy’s bullshit.
Now, allow me to remind you dear readers, that while the COVID-19 pandemic is certainly still going strong, with what feels like a new variant and piles more death every time we turn around, the fact of the matter is, we wouldn’t be here, at this terrible place in time with regard to this particular public health crisis, if it weren’t for the terrible manner in which former President Trump handled the pandemic from the get-go.

Are people still dying? Yes. Are we still struggling to get everyone to just get their damn vaccine? Absolutely. Would it be about a million times worse still if Trump were still in charge? You bet your ass.
And today, Jen Psaki made sure Peter Doocy knew that.
During today’s press briefing, the infamous Fox News White House correspondent essentially asked the Press Secretary if President Biden felt that he should no longer be President, given how many people have died with him in office.
Doocy tried to hit Psaki with a 2020 quote from now-President Biden, when he said of then-President Trump, “Anyone who is responsible for that many deaths should not remain as the President of the United States of America.”
“Is that still the standard now that more Americans have died under President Biden than President Trump?”
Psaki let him have it.
“I think the fundamental question here is what are you doing to save lives and the former President was suggesting people inject bleach, he apparently, reportedly, didn’t share with people he was going to interact with that he had tested positive for COVID himself,” Psaki fired, “he continued to provide a forum for misinformation, which probably led to people not taking steps forward to protect themselves… This president has made the vaccine widely available, he’s relied on the advice of his health and medical experts, and he is trying to be a part of solving this crisis, getting the pandemic under control. I think there’s a pretty stark difference between their approaches.”
Frankly, enough said, Doocy. Just give it up. You’ll never own her.
