Jen Psaki Just Did It Again, Smacks Down Reporter Who Seemed To Suggest Biden's Not Concerned About Unity Because He Hasn't Met With Kevin McCarthy

President Joe Biden’s Press Secretary Jen Psaki has been brilliantly shutting down conservative reporters during her press briefings ever since she started her job. She’s definitely been asked some unusual questions from the right-wing media that she shuts down with facts. After Americans suffered through Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Kayleigh McEnany during Trump’s time in office, she is absolutely refreshing. And she’s not taking anyone’s shit.

David Brody, a reporter for the Christian Broadcasting Network, asked Psaki why President Joe Biden hasn’t met with House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy yet. Frankly, though, McCarthy first blasted Trump after the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection. Later he did an about-face on the issue to defend Trump, so this reporter asking about “unity” seems a bit bizarre.

“I guess the question is,” Brody said, is that President Biden “has not met with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, according to Kevin McCarthy. What does that say about unity?”

Brody went to say, “there are some other legislative issues as it relates to HR1 and a commission to study, packing the Supreme Court as you would say.”

Psaki wasn’t having it.

“Do you think tens of millions of people are concerned about him not meeting with Kevin McCarthy?” she shot back.

Brody went on to claim that “tens of millions of people are concerned about HR1, budget reconciliation, and going with a 50 vote threshold.”

“I don’t think the polling bears that out,” Psaki said.

“I will say that the President’s view is that bringing the country together is bringing the American people together,” Psaki said. “So when I say he’s, he is focused on bringing you know, bringing people together, bringing Democrats or Republicans together, he’s not talking about solving bipartisanship in this zip code here.”

When Brody says “this doesn’t seem like unity” over Biden not meeting with McCarthy, that’s just flinging poop in the hopes that something sticks. Gee, why doesn’t Biden meet with Marjorie Trailer Greene, too?
