A 360 brings you right back where you started, a basic fact Karoline Leavitt either forgot or isn’t aware of, judging by her Fox News rant Monday night.

The former White House press secretary joined Sean Hannity to talk up Republican chances in the midterms, and used part of the segment to go after Democratic candidates like Texas Senate hopeful James Talarico. “The Democrats are always incredibly disingenuous,” she said.

“They campaign as moderates, they do 360s on every single policy position they have to try to appeal to common sense, good-hearted Americans, but then, when they are elected, they govern as complete radical extreme liberal lunatics.”

The problem is baked into basic geometry. A 360-degree turn returns you to exactly where you began, which means the accusation Leavitt was reaching for, that Democrats reverse course once elected- actually describes the opposite of a 360. The word she needed was 180.

Viewers noticed within minutes of the clip hitting X.

Leavitt resigned from her White House role back in August, explaining on X that balancing the job with raising two young children, including a newborn, had become too much. She described the stretch after her daughter’s birth as “the most rewarding yet challenging season” of her life, and said she’d come to feel she couldn’t be the mom her kids deserved while also giving the press secretary job the constant time, energy, and attention it required.

She called leaving a “bittersweet decision” as she stepped into what she framed as a new chapter. She’s kept a regular presence on Fox News since then, frequently using her platform there to campaign for Republicans ahead of November.
