The dramatic, bizarre, and very public beef going down between scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump and South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who can’t quite decide if he’s a MAGA sycophant or not, is about to get much, much more interesting — for those of us who get to enjoy the drama from the outside looking in, anyway.
According to a new book that is set to soon hit the shelves by journalists Susan Glasser and Peter Baker, the southern fried South Carolina senator once openly referred to Donald Trump as a “lying motherfucker” but made sure to double back and also call the now ex-president a “fun” guy to hang out around.
Apparently, Graham personally spoke one on one with the journalists turned authors for their book, which was obtained by The Independent ahead of its public release scheduled for later this month. According to the publication’s report on the upcoming new book, Graham openly called Trump a “lying motherfucker” during his talk with the journalists, only to turn around in the very same exchange with Glasser and Baker and say that the now ex-president is a “lot of fun to hang out with.”
While this is far from the first time Lindsey Graham has dared to publicly criticize Donald Trump (only to always turn tail and lick his boots again) — infamously declaring during the 2016 election cycle that “If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed…….and we will deserve it.” — it’s also far from the first time that one of Trump’s own allies have categorized the guy as a liar.

Even Steve Bannon, who once served as Donald’s White House strategist is one of the biggest Trump sycophants to walk the face of the earth, publicly admitted that Trump makes a habit out of lying to get his way, according to reporting from Business Insider.
Bannan said Trump “would say anything, he would lie about anything to win whatever exchange he [is] having at the moment.”
More recently, the now ex-president stands accused by numerous legal experts of quite literally lying to his own legal team in his fight against the DOJ, following the FBI search and seizure warrant raid against his Mar-a-Lago resort.
“I think it’s more likely than not that he lied to them knowing that they were going to transmit those lies to the government,” former chief of the DOJ’s Counterintelligence Section, David Laufman, said of Donald Trump during a recent MSNBC segment.
Former US attorney Joyce Vance also recently sat for an interview with MSNBC, in which she said, “There’s more of an implication in this newly released information that the former president did play a role in the provision of information about documents to whoever the lawyer who certified this information to the Justice Department.”
I mean, I can’t speak to the part about him being a “fun” guy to be around (though, I highly doubt it) but honestly, Graham’s not even wrong about him being a “lying motherfucker.” That part is pretty spot-on.
