Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene may have left Congress earlier this year, but she’s still getting herself into frequent controversies.

The latest is Greene’s tribute to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), after his passing on Sunday. Greene quoted-tweeted an X post by the U.S. Central Command, announcing new military strikes on Iran, with the note “Lindsey Graham would be proud. RIP.”

The implication is that Graham was a warmonger who tended to be in favor of military strikes, contrary to Greene’s more isolationist views. The post went up the day after Graham’s death.

Greene later ripped Graham in an appearance on the nominally left-wing show The Young Turks:

“Lindsey Graham was a neocon warmonger,” Greene said on the show. “He was a murderer. He wanted to wipe out many people in Iran, Gaza and Lebanon. He supported war more than anything. He never wanted peace. He was the greatest lobbyist that the military industrial complex could ever have.”

Greene’s post had 2.6 million views as of Wednesday, and it got a lot of negative reactions from people accusing Greene of being classless.
