Trump loyalist Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) who donned a gas mask to mock the COVID-19 pandemic while on the House floor last month, should rethink his tweets at some point. Wording is everything and Rep. Drunky McDrunkerson — who refers to himself in his Twitter profile as “Florida man” — unleashed a tweet to tout testing for the novel coronavirus in the U.S. Of course, Gaetz failed at math, too, because per capita, we do not come in first with testing for the potentially deadly disease.
On Friday night, as the death toll for the coronavirus passed thirty-five thousand in this country, Gaetz took to Twitter to drop an un-truth bomb on us while tagging the president.
“The United States has tested more than anyone in the world by far,” Florida man tweeted. “@realDonaldTrump is the greatest testing President God has ever created.”

Well, that’s an unfortunate choice of words. I, too, have some amazing bourbon at home, but I stay off social media if I decide to have a drink. Twitter users jumped in after Gaetz tweeted what looked like him calling Trump “President God.”

Aside from Gaetz once again being wrong, it’s probably best to keep God out of this since Trump has referred to himself as the Chosen One, which should be a slap in the face to those who follow Jesus’ teachings. By the way, Matt, you won’t find Jesus at the bottom of your liquor bottle or in Donald Trump’s Twitter timeline. You’re welcome!
