In case you somehow hadn’t noticed, Melania Trump has been notably absent not just from her scandal-ridden husband’s life here lately, but from the public scene altogether, as the former president’s mountain of legal peril finally begins to crash down all around him.
The ex-First Lady has been radio silent over the past several weeks, as her husband’s legal troubles in Manhattan reached a historic fever pitch and finally saw the ex-president criminally indicted and formally arraigned on a staggering 34 felony charges by District Attorney Alvin Bragg, his prosecutors and investigators, and the Manhattan grand jury — all of which hail back to Donald’s infamous 2016 hush money scandal connected to his alleged affair partner, adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Throughout these bombshell legal proceedings, Donald Trump’s wife has been nowhere to be found. Multiple reports indicated that Melania did not travel to New York with her husband to face his explosive arraignment proceedings, nor was she present at his big speech at Mar-a-Lago later that day, despite the fact that Melania literally lives at the golf club. The former first lady’s absence was made even more palpable amid reports from inside sources that she remains “angry” over her husband’s affair with Daniels which has managed to cause the entire family so much scandal and legal trouble.
Melania’s overall avoidance of the entire situation has spread much further than simply declining to appear at her husband’s dramatic speeches and events, as the former first lady has employed a silent treatment across her social media platforms — failing to even publicly wish her only son a happy birthday.

But lo and behold, she finally had something to say…
Melania Trump’s Twitter account has sat, growing dust, since March 9th. But apparently, the ex-first lady thought Easter would be the perfect occasion to break her social media silence. Over the holiday weekend, Melania took to Twitter with a very simple, somewhat bizarre social media post to mark the sacred Christian holiday:

The tweet simply read, “Happy Easter!” captioning a photo of a pink rose that we’re frankly unsure of the context on.
According to reporting from the Daily Mail, Melania was spotted at Mar-a-Lago’s Easter brunch with her husband on Sunday. Prior to that, the ex-first lady hadn’t been seen publicly since March 30th, when she was spotted on the night of her husband’s formal indictment.
