Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former close friend to First Lady Melania Trump, is set to make waves with her tell-all book, Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady, in just a few short days.

Today, ahead of the book’s release, Winston Wolkoff sat down for an interview with ABC News’ Lindsey Davis in which she opened up about the lies, deceit, and corruption that ultimately turned her away from the Trump family.

Wolkoff, who used to be very close to Melania before the Trump family moved into the White House and led her to believe that she had gravely misjudged their character, said in the interview, “It was amateur hour then, and it’s amateur hour now, and I think it’s really frightening for our country. Everyone does need to know what… this presidency is doing and what this propaganda machine behind this man at the White House is doing.”

The former friend of Melania’s went on to explain that the White House is constantly torn apart by “palace intrigue” and “filled with friction, suspicion, deceit, deception.”

Wolkoff took a deeper dive into the huge point of conflict inside the White House, resulting from Ivanka Trump attempting to take on many of the traditional duties of the First Lady, leaving Melania full of resentment and fighting for her own place within her husband’s administration.

However, Wolkoff revealed that one of the biggest turning points in her feelings towards the Trump family and Melania specifically was in the aftermath of the release of the Access Hollywood tapes — the now-infamous tapes in which Melania’s husband can be heard bragging about sexually assaulting women and getting away with it because he’s famous.

Wolkoff said in the interview that she expected to find a distraught Melania “in tears” but was surprised when she instead found that “she was radiant, she was smiling.”

“I said to her, ‘How many times have you heard the words ‘p—-‘ and ‘president’ in the same sentence?’ And we burst out laughing,” she said in the interview. “She knows who she married… She knew what she was getting into, and so did he.”
