Michigan AG Says Trump Is No Longer Welcome In The State After POTUS Did Not Wear A Mask During Ford Plant Tour: “He Is A Petulant Child Who Refuses To Follow The Rules. This Is Not A Joke.”

Michigan is done with him.

Donald Trump has been on a rocky, downhill slope with the state of Michigan for some time now — battling the local government over PPE and ventilators throughout the coronavirus pandemic and showing little to no concern over the recent mass flooding that’s now wreaked havoc on an already battered state.

But now, after Trump’s trip to tour the Ford factory in Ypsilanti, it seems that the state has pretty much cut their losses when it comes to making nice with the president, and have now instead taken to telling him to get lost.

Ahead of Trump’s visit today, he was expressly warned by the Michigan attorney general that wearing a face-covering while visiting the state would be mandatory — despite the fact that Trump has continually skirted the CDC guidelines throughout this pandemic thus far.

“Obviously, here in Michigan we’ve been particularly hard-hit by the COVID-19,” Attorney General Dana Nessel said on CNN before Trump arrived in her state. “I know that Ford has asked him to do the same thing, but if we know that he’s coming to our state, and we know he’s not going to follow the law, I think we’re going to have to take action against any company or any facility that allows him inside those facilities and puts our workers at risk.”

“We are just asking that President Trump comply with the law in our state, just as we would make the same request of anyone else in those plants. If we’ve learned nothing over the last several years of President Trump in the White House, is that he doesn’t have the same level of legal accountability as everybody else.”

But lo and behold, Donald showed up in Michigan and though he attempted to lie about it to the media, he was never once verified to have a mask on his face during his time at the Ford plant.

As a result of Trump’s negligence and apparent power play, Nessel was quick to ensure that Donald Trump knows she intends to make good on her warning.

In another sit down with CNN, Nessel’s made it clear that, when it comes to her department anyway, the president of the United States is no longer welcome in the state of Michigan.

“Is the president no longer welcome in Michigan?” the CNN host asked after outlining Trump’s behavior during his visit this afternoon.

“Well, I will say, speaking on behalf of my department and my office, that’s right!” Nessel replied. “Today’s events were extremely disappointing and yet totally predictable.”

Nessel went on to explain that Dr. Fauci and the CDC recommend the wearing of face masks and even pointed out that it’s now a law in the Wolverine State — not to mention a policy at the Ford factory.

“The president is like a petulant child who refuses to follow the rules and I have to say, this is no joke.”

Nessel ended the segment by declaring that she’s “ashamed” to have Donald Trump as the president of this nation.

Frankly, I can’t tell you how much joy it fills me with to finally see someone stand up to him.
