Former Vice President Mike Pence is against Donald Trump’s choice of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Pence believes RFK Jr. is the wrong person for the job and is asking Republicans to reject him.
“For most of his career, RFK Jr. has supported abortion on demand during all nine months of pregnancy. He wants to overturn the Dobbs decision and has called for laws to make Roe v. Wade permanent,” Pence said in a statement shared online. “If confirmed, RFK Jr. would be the most pro-abortion Republican-appointed secretary of HHS in modern history.”
Pence also urged Senate Republicans to “reject this nomination” and choose someone who respects pro-life values.
