MSNBC’s Morning Joe Destroys “Cowardly” Lindsey Graham Over Leaked Tapes Showing The Senator Bashing Trump In Private While He Defends Him In Public

Someone had to say it!

New York Times reporters Alexander Burns and Jonathan Martin brutally exposed South Carolina Republican Senator and Trump sycophant supreme Lindsey Graham, when they revealed in their bombshell new book, This Will Not Pass, that they had the GOP lawmaker on tape privately bashing now ex-President Donald Trump in the wake of the infamous January 6th Capitol attack, despite publicly defending the man.

Now, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough has taken aim at the “cowardly” Republican congressman over his obvious lack of a spine.

In the recordings, Graham can be heard saying, “We’ll actually come out of this thing stronger. Moments like this reset. People will calm down. People will say, ‘I don’t want to be associated with that.’ This is a group within a group,” referring to the growing Trumpism in the country. “What this does, there will be a rallying effect for a while, the country says, ‘we are better than this.'”

Graham further went on to actually praise President Joe Biden.

However, “Morning Joe” made a point today to highlight the fact that Senator Lindsey Graham is not, in fact, better than any of this.

“This is a funny thing with Trumpers, why do you change?” Scarborough mused during the segment. “Why do you want — you know, I heard it from Republicans, in general, for years, why have you changed? You know, the party’s gotten crazy as hell, and the party changed, but here you have Liz Cheney. I’m like, Liz — the same, same as it ever was, same as it ever was.”

Graham wasn’t the only one to flip flop on his support for Donald Trump in private vs. in public. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy infamously blamed the now ex-president for the violent January 6th attack, both in private and in public at one point, only to tuck tail down to Mar-a-Lago and “kiss the ring.”

“You’ve got Kevin going like this, he’s all over the place — ‘Oh, I love Donald, I hate Donald, this is Donald Trump’s fault!'” Scarborough stated, paraphrasing the Republican Minority Leader’s conflicting, flip-flopping positions on the one-term, twice-impeached former president. “‘Yeah, Liz, let’s figure out how — I’m going to go talk to Donald and tell him to resign to get out.’ You know, and Liz is saying, okay, and Liz stays the same, and these poor, feckless, weak, cowardly guys go down and shine Donald Trump’s shoes. It’s just — it’s unbelievable. Liz hasn’t changed, Lindsey’s changed and Kevin’s changed and the Republican Party has changed since Jan. 6.”

But, as the MSNBC host pointed out, one thing has always remained true among these devout, Trump-loving Republicans since Donald Trump made his way onto the scene and highjacked the GOP.

“The one thing that is constant that, Willie, you and I have said, for five, six years now, is Republicans say one thing about Donald Trump on the air, and off the air, even people who have worked with him trash him — they can’t stand him,” Scarborough explained. “And that’s why earlier this morning, we talked about the Ricketts said to hell with Donald Trump, we’re going to run him over politically. The fact that the Ricketts aren’t scared of Donald Trump, and they humiliated Donald Trump in Nebraska sends a message to a lot of other Republicans that you can take this guy on, and you can beat him.”
