MTG’s Boyfriend Uses His Moment On The Mic To Insult Zelensky, Marjorie Responds

This guy has a lot of nerve

As tensions ran high in an Oval Office meeting between former President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, conservative reporter Brian Glenn—best known as the boyfriend of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene—took the opportunity to question the Ukrainian leader about his choice of clothing rather than the ongoing war with Russia.

Glenn, a 56-year-old Real America’s Voice host, used his time at the microphone to press Zelensky on why he wasn’t wearing a suit. His remark came amid a meeting where Trump and Senator J.D. Vance had already subjected Zelensky to aggressive rhetoric regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

In a video shared by C-SPAN on X (formerly Twitter), Glenn posed the unexpected question:

“Why don’t you wear a suit? You’re at the highest level in this country’s office, and you refuse to wear a suit. Do you own a suit?”

Zelensky, who has consistently worn military-style attire throughout the war, remained composed and responded, “I will wear a suit after this war is over. Maybe something like yours. Maybe better.”

The exchange sparked laughter from some in the room, including Vance, while social media users quickly picked up on the moment. One widely shared post pointed out a translation nuance—“костюм” (kostium) in Ukrainian means both “suit” and “costume”—highlighting an unintentional comedic element in Zelensky’s response.

Greene Applauds Glenn’s Question

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene wasted no time praising her boyfriend’s remark. She took to X to double down on the sentiment, claiming Zelensky’s attire was a sign of disrespect toward the U.S.:

Her post quickly gained traction, with thousands of replies either supporting or ridiculing her take. Critics argued that Zelensky’s clothing symbolizes his wartime leadership and is not an insult to the U.S.

Trump’s Take on Zelensky’s Outfit

The focus on Zelensky’s wardrobe wasn’t limited to Glenn. Earlier that day, Trump also made a remark about it. According to the Daily Mail, as Trump greeted the Ukrainian president, he commented, “Oh, you’re all dressed up,” to which Zelensky replied, “Yes. I had to.” Trump, seemingly pleased, responded, “He’s all dressed up today.”

While the significance of this exchange is debatable, it adds to the growing list of moments where Zelensky’s clothing has been scrutinized rather than the dire situation in Ukraine.

A Distraction From the Real Issues?

The focus on Zelensky’s appearance rather than the content of the meeting drew criticism from political analysts. Many pointed out that figures like Glenn and Greene were fixated on optics rather than discussing vital security and humanitarian concerns.

Zelensky has consistently worn military-style clothing since Russia’s invasion began in 2022, a deliberate choice meant to reflect solidarity with his troops and his nation’s ongoing struggle. His signature olive-green outfit has become a symbol of resilience and leadership.

For some, Glenn’s question came across as an attempt to undermine Zelensky in a moment when he was negotiating critical aid and support. Others saw it as yet another example of the MAGA-aligned faction prioritizing performative politics over substance.

Regardless of the intent, the interaction has once again ignited a debate over the significance of optics in political discourse—and whether the focus should be on fashion choices or the brutal realities of war.
