New Book Claims Trump Aide Said “I Want To F—ing Kill Myself” When Trump Tapped Him To Lead Election Challenges

I can't blame him.

On Friday morning, former President Donald Trump seemed rattled over books that are being written about his one term in office. Trump issued a statement to deny a report in the forthcoming book “Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost” by The Wall Street Journal’s Michael Bender. But, Bender isn’t the only author with a new book.

According to Michael Wolff’s forthcoming book, ‘Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency,’
a longtime advisor to the twice-impeached one-term president wasn’t exactly enthusiastic when Trump tapped him in 2020 to lead a series of lawsuits challenging the November election results, according to Business Insider.

“After mulling over who he wanted to spearhead the legal challenges, Trump finally settled on David Bossie, a 2016 campaign aide turned informal advisor,” the outlet reports. “But when the president told Bossie – who had jockeyed for a position in the White House after the 2016 campaign and been turned down – Bossie was unpleasantly surprised, Wolff wrote.”

For starters, Bossie didn’t have a law degree and was not a practicing lawyer.

“A willing Trump soldier and always ready to please the boss, even Bossie was confused, or appalled, by his sudden elevation,” Wolff wrote.

“I don’t know if congratulations or condolences are in order,” one campaign aide wrote to Bossie after Trump told him to lead the election lawsuits, according to the book.

“I want to f—ing kill myself,” Bossie replied.

Trump ended up settling on Bossie.

Wolff wrote that some campaign staffers joked and speculated that Bossie’s COVID-19 diagnosis was a “convenient one.”

“How did you get so lucky?” one aide asked him.

“F— you,” Bossie replied, according to Wolff.

“Giuliani, meanwhile, approached his new role as Trump’s lead election lawyer with gusto,” the outlet reports. The former New York City mayor might be regretting that right now since he’s being sued along with Sidney Powell, and Mike Lindell, founder and chief executive of MyPillow and a prominent Trump supporter, for a billion dollars each, accusing them of falsely claiming that Dominion — a private company that manufactures voting machines — rigged the last election to help President Joe Biden.
