For a man who claims to be the proverbial king of the political party who respects and reveres the United States’ servicemen and women, ex-President Donald Trump has a hellaciously long history of being, well, less than respectful when it comes to those very same servicemen and women. By a long shot.
There’s the whole draft-dodging ordeal, for one, with multiple reports indicating that the would-be former president dodged the Vietnam War draft a total of 5 times in his younger days, once for having bad feet and four additional times for college.
Then there was the time Donald Trump crossed a number of lines when he disrespectfully declared regarding the now-deceased Arizona GOP Senator John McCain when he said during the 2015 Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, “He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”
And then, of course, there were the infamous alleged “losers” and “suckers” remarks that the then-president allegedly made after a bombshell 2020 report from The Atlantic claimed Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers,” after he canceled a visit to Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018 to honor the dead service members. On the same trip, Trump reportedly referred to the more than 1,800 Marines who lost their lives in the Battle of Belleau Wood in France as “suckers” for getting killed. At the time, the Trump White House vehemently denied these claims.
And all of the above was just the stuff that was scandalous and appalling enough to make headlines.

But yet, he still has the nerve to pull stuff like this.
Recently, Trump’s former Director of Social Media and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino took to his Twitter with a new photo of ex-President Donald Trump hugging a 100-year-old WWII vet, captioning the image, “President Trump embraces a 100 year old WWII Veteran and thanks him for his sacrifice and service at a Club45USA meeting on April 11, 2022 in West Palm Beach, Florida.”

I’ll give you three guesses as to how the comments went, but you really only need one:
Didn’t the draft dodger call servicemen suckers and losers?

Did former president Trump mention to him, he attempted to take away the democracy, that brave veteran fought for?
Didn’t think so … pic.twitter.com/VZTQ5EGyVd
