In a move that will infuriate Donald Trump, New York City is set to paint a “Black Lives Matter” mural on the street right in front of his Trump Tower building on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that several such murals would be painted across the city earlier this month as mass protests against police brutality and racial injustice continue to rage there and across the country.
Trump’s reaction to the protests has not helped matters at all as he calls them “thugs” and threatens the use of military violence against them while voicing his complete support for the police as they continue to murder unarmed black men and women.
In fact, Twitter just dinged one of Trump’s tweets in which he threatened to use force against protesters.

To combat Trump’s racism and presumably get under his notoriously thin skin, one of the locations of a “Black Lives Matter” mural will be along Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th streets right in front of Trump Tower.
“The president is a disgrace to the values we cherish in New York City,” de Blasio spokeswoman Julia Arredondo said in a statement. “He can’t run or deny the reality we are facing, and any time he wants to set foot in the place he claims is his hometown, he should be reminded, Black Lives Matter.”
The mural should be completed just in time for July 4th, which will likely put a damper on Trump’s planned propaganda party that could include military demonstrations.
If the city wants to make Trump even angrier, they should consider a popular petition calling for the street in front of Trump Tower to be named after former President Barack Obama, which would certainly be fitting because of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ mural being painted on the same street. Then we get our popcorn and watch the real fireworks as Trump throws a temper tantrum.
