Congress, with a new Democratic majority, passed the 2009 stimulus bill— known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act— providing for roughly $800 billion in government spending and tax cuts to jumpstart the economy. Today marks the anniversary of former President Barack Obama signing the Recovery Act that helped to dig us out of an apocalyptic repression that was caused by the previous administration.
Obama took to Twitter to note the anniversary — which also happens to land on Presidents’ Day.
“Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history,” Obama tweeted.

Obama, who inherited a recession, gifted Trump with a healthy economy but the current occupant of the White House turned around and immediately handed a tax cut to the wealthiest, then started a trade war. We’re sure Obama’s tweet will go down really well with Trump since he’s such a disciplined and even-tempered man. The Red Hats are not taking it well at all.
